Questions about pricing.
What counts as a user?
Anyone who signs in — owner, service writer, fabricator, painter. Five are included; each one after that is $29.99 a month. Your customers are not users: they view quotes and build pages through a private link without an account.
Is anything held back for a higher tier?
No. There is one plan and it is the whole product. The two add-ons cover the books, and they are the only things priced separately.
Do I need the Accounting package?
Only if you want BuildMonkey to be where your books live. The job costing — budget against actual, payroll hours, parts margin — is in the base price. The Accounting package is a full ledger on top of that: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, bank reconciliation.
What if I already use QuickBooks Online?
Then you probably do not need the Accounting package. Syncing to QuickBooks Online is included in the base price: invoices, payments and clocked time land there under a job for each build.
What happens when the trial ends?
Nothing automatic — there is no card on file to charge. If the shop fits, you set up billing and carry on with the data you already put in.
Can I add and remove users as the shop changes?
Yes. Seasonal help and a fabricator who leaves in March are normal in this trade, and the user count is meant to move with the crew.
